If you feel that you are having a stroke, you are probably going to be very scared and overwhelmed. This is of course how you are expected to feel, but if you are alone, you need to get yourself help right away. It may be hard, but you need to know what to do if you are having a stroke. Of course, the first thing you need to do is call 911, but that is the easy part. Once you have 911 on the line, you need to be calm enough to answer some questions such as:
- What time did your symptoms start?
- What is your complete medical history?
- Have you ever had a stroke? Have you ever had bleeding inside of your brain?
- What medications and supplements do you take on a regular basis?
- Do you suffer from a bleeding disorder?
By answering these questions, you will be able to help doctors select the best treatment for you.
